Benjamin Eric is a multimedia artist in Carbondale, CO. He creates assemblage wall constructions/paintings and sculptures with a variety of materials to explore the themes of history and myth. His process is driven by repetition and layering to evoke archaeological qualities that encourage the viewer to delve deeper to uncover hidden details and meanings. In his current work, he uses symbols, constellations and mythological references to create intricate narratives within each piece. The contrast of textures and materials emphasizes the interplay between past and present, old and new.

A graduate of Ringling School of Art (BFA) and California State University (MFA), Benjamin spent over 20 years working for international comic and editorial cartoonists and currently works as Collections, Facilities & Technology Manager at Powers Art Center.
