My artistic focus is predominantly oil painting portraiture, block-printing, and multimedia work. Oil painting in particular is a meditative process for me, and portraiture provides a wonderfully direct way to channel my intended themes and emotions.

In 2020 I received a BA in Organismal Biology and Ecology from Colorado College, after which I moved to the Roaring Fork Valley. I continue to use concepts and inspiration from my scientific study in my artwork, however subconsciously. Patterns found in nature, whether visual or ecological, fascinate me in how they complement and inform the human condition. In the modern age of ecological collapse, these connections we feel to other species and to place are all the more complex and interesting. My work returns again and again to these themes and to the unprecedented contemporary ways we feel about our world and ourselves.
