Kelly Phillips is a self-taught multi-faceted artist residing in and inspired by the mountains of Colorado, nestled in Missouri Heights in the Roaring Fork Valley. Her work is primarily in the transformative medium of stained glass but other creative whims, fusing glass art and forest foraging, often find their way into the studio of kousa creative.

ARTIST STATEMENT
One of my goals in life is to add beauty to the world ~ where & whenever possible. I have always lived a creative life. . .
gardening
sewing
cake decorating
quilting
pastry chef
photography
stone mason
graphic design
landscaping
floral design . . .
. . .really anything that involved color, texture, mood, light, nature, and sometimes, if we are being honest, too much sugar.
Then one day in 2016, a stained-glass course caught my eye while I was taking ceramic classes. . . “just a gardener trying to keep her hands in the ‘dirt’ over the winter” . . . & I fell in love. The brilliant color, subtle textures and dance of light captivated my soul. I am enchanted you find your way to share in my creative whims, here at SAW.
